Rick and George have over 20 years industry experience between them. In his early career as a freelancer, Rick played numerous sessions and engineered for producer Steve Smith at Roow With A View Studios, working together on projects including the BBC's Fame Academy. Rick opened his own facility in 2003, initially recording indy releases for cult underground acts such as rateofdepress, This Illusion, and Not Advised.

An instant hit with the bands, Rick has true insight into the needs of an artist. An experienced performer in his own right, he has played over 330 gigs, supporting bands including The Arctic Monkeys, Rooster, and Life Of Agony, playing Download festival and touring China.

Rick engineered his first UK top 40 with Erin Rocha's single 'Can't Do Right For Doing Wrong', which reached no.2 in the 2003 Christmas charts, and mixed tracks for the subsequent album.

Crossing musical genres, Rick went on to engineer the girls' choir 'Cantamus', for their album on EMI. He scored his second UK top 40 working with producer Phil Tenant (The Cure, The Waterboys, The Saw Doctors) on the Noise Next Door's single 'She Might' for Warner Bros.

Success just seemed to be falling into Rick's lap, and this continued when, in January 2005, Rick recorded singer songwriter Sandi Thom's first album, for indy label 'Viking Legacy'. It was an enjoyable, lo-fi, low-budget affair, which saw Rick team up with production outfit Jake Field and Duncan Thompson, aka 'The Mighty Vibrations'. In 2006 Sandi's album was signed to RCA and leapt straight to no. 1 in the album chart.

Over the next year, Sandi's album went double platinum in the UK, hit the no.1 spot in Ireland, no. 5 in New Zealand and no.11 in Australia. The single 'What If I'm Right' (which Rick had co-produced, mixed and played on) became yet another UK top-40.

Meanwhile Rick's vocal programming for Antony Costa's (ex-Blue) debut solo single 'Do You Ever Think Of Me' charted at no.19 in the UK and Rick mixed 'The Mighty Vibrations' next project, 'Hummingbird'.

Still an active performing artist, Rick toured with his band getAmped and UK rockers 'Rooster' in October / November 2006. Upon his return, Rick started work on Sandi's follow up album, 'The Pink And The Lily', this time as mix engineer. In 2007, Rick formed 'ChinaStyle' with brother Tim Parkhouse, legendary drummer Jason Bowld (ex-'Pitchshifter'), and Ben Smyth (ex-'Rooster').

Rick's involvement with Jason led to him engineering on the 'Pitchshifter' EP 'None for All and All for None', (PSI Records) and producing the second 'This Is Menace' album 'The Scene Is Dead' for Fourth Wall Records in spring 2007, working with singers such as Charlie Simpson (ex-'Busted', 'Fightstar').

The pace stepped up in 2008. Recent projects include working with Henry Priestman (ex-'The Christians') on a record for Lotte Mullan, winner of solo songwriter award 2006 from the British Academy of Songwriting; recording and mixing for Jason Donovan as he stages a comeback to the UK music scene newly signed to Decca Records; and writing, performing and producing ''Trip The Light Fantastic', and 'Never Good Enough' for 'ChinaStyle'. Sandi Thom's second album 'The Pink And The Lily' came in at no.25, giving Rick his sixth UK top-40. Rick has also mixed the debut album for Arista's new signing 'The Mercurymen' and an album for singing dentist 'Andrew Bain' for Sony BMG.

2009 kicked off with work for Relentless / EMI on their hot new Canadian signing, 'The Mission District'. Rick joined a production team that included Andy Smith ('Keane', 'The Feeling', 'Scouting For Girls') and Mark Needham ('The Killers', 'Metro Station'). Rick produced 3 tracks for the album. Work continued with an EP for Stimulus Management on their recent signing 'Snakes Hate Fire'. September was an eventful month. After a few beers in their local, The Captain's Club, Rick and George decided to go into business together, with George becoming a partner in Red Triangle. October saw Rick and George asked to head up production on 'Twenty Twenty's debut album. Red Triangle managed to squeeze in one last E.P. for talented pop country artist,'Nathalie Hall', on Landed Music before the year was out.

This year has been Red Triangle's busiest to date. Twenty Twenty reached no.2 in the Kerrang! charts with the single 'Get Down'. We mixed Twenty Twenty's live DVD 'Get Down with Twenty Twenty', which is currently no.1 in the HMV pre-order charts. George's sister, Katy, had a no.1 in the MusicWeek Dance charts with her vocal on the Vegas Baby single 'Can't Help Myself'. No prizes for guessing that the vocal was recorded by Rick and George at Red Triangle. Rick and George also worked with Hollywood Records' artist, ex-Son of Dork bassist and Hannah Montana star, Steve Rushton, writing and producing 3 tracks for his fothcoming solo album. Rick mixed a track for ambient pop artist 'Heidrik'. Heidrik spent several weeks on the no.1 spot with his debut single 'Peter Pan', and Rick was tasked with the UK remix, due for release on Mon Amour records later this year. April saw Rick and George producing the debut album for Landed Music's 'Manhattan Ghost Stories', pioneering the new genre of 'surftonica'. George and Rick also took the decision to sign artist directly into production deals, and have a couple of very special announcements to make very shortly...watch this space!
